IA’s effort is focused on educating and raising awareness about both intersex individuals and society at large about the unique experiences and challenges faced by intersex people in Asia. Through mutual learning and collaboration, Intersex Asia will raise awareness of the unique social, religious, cultural, and political contexts that have impacted the lives of intersex individuals in Asia. It also recognizes that raising awareness goes beyond simply educating others about intersexuality. By raising awareness,we hope to pave the way towards a more compassionate world where every individual feels seen, heard, accepted, respected, and valued.
