Based in Taiwan, Intersex is a regional network of intersex-led organizations and individuals from Asian countries that work to support, educate, and advocate for the rights and lives of intersex individuals and raise awareness of human rights violations and discrimination faced by intersex communities.
Getting ready for the release of Intersex Asia’s New Strategic Plan -2024 to 2027.
Intersex Asia, is currently in the process of developing the Strategic plan 2024 to 2027, which again upholds the principle of ‘ Nothing About Us Without Us’. In the development of the new Strategic Plan, an extensive collaborative process was undertaken, encompassing input from staff, board members, local communities, stakeholders, and other relevant parties. This approach was adopted to ensure that the plan is tailored to meet the specific needs of the organization, produce significant and meaningful results, and actively contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); Goal # 3: Good Health and Well being; Goal # 5: Gender Equality; Goal # 10: Reduced Inequalities.
Encompassing the overarching vision, mission, and strategic objectives, the Strategic Plan for the years 2024 to 2027 will comprehensively outline a range of impactful activities, as well as the outcomes and outputs. These efforts are dedicated to bolstering, empowering, and advancing the human rights of Intersex communities across Asia. Some activities could include; Create a scalable, multi-tiered training program for activists at all stages; Conduct a leadership development activity through a year-long fellowship program

Intersex Asia aims to uphold the values of Intersex Individuals/ community members: Love, Diversity, Family, Unity, Respect, and Understanding. In 2019, the organization launched its strategic plan that outlined its objectives, priorities, and initiatives for the five-year period from 2019 to 2023. This strategic plan objectives are related to the following key themes: Capacity Strengthening forIntersex Community members; Strengthening partnership and collaboration with existing partners and networks; Supporting intersex Activists for national advocacy and related initiatives; Increasing educational awareness and visibility about Intersex; Establishing a regional database and Develop wellness training package. Overall, this plan served as a roadmap for the organization’s future development and growth, research and development, operational efficiency, and sustainability efforts.
